Fire-damaged Delhi church, St. Sebastian Church, was re-dedicated by Archbishop Anil Couto of Delhi Archdiocese on 15th January, 2017. The Church, which is situated at the Dilshad Garden, was gutted on Dec. 1, 2014.  Though the investigation on the incident resulted, its due to an electrical short circuit, many doesn’t believe the same.

While blessing and re-dedicating the altar of St. Sebastian’s Church, Archbishop Anil Couto said, “did our best to protest, showed our displeasure on the streets and met with several government officials” as reported by the UCANINDIA. His words are well reflected the expression of sadness of people over the slack investigation into the incident.

The series attacks on the Church institutions in Delhi, since the incident on St. Sebastian Church, has lead the faithful across Delhi and nation into a fearful situation.  These incidents have led the Christian leaders and faithful to be strong in their faith and that we as Christians have to always be ready to face persecution in the name of Jesus.
