On 1st July 2017, Mar Thomas Elavanal, the Bishop of Kalyan Diocese conveyed a profound message of being one in Eucharist, to the faithful gathered for the Patron’s Day celebrations at ARC, Panvel. The Bishop reminded that, St. Thomas had the God experience, when he was in the communion of other Disciples.  The faithful were included more than 100 Priests and 150 Religious.

His Excellency invited each one to understand the true meaning of unity and togetherness without which, no one would be able to feel the presence of the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ. Further, he added the significance of peace, which derives from the communion. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. “(John 14:25). The Eucharist is the remembrance of the appearance of Risen Lord to the disciples. The response of St. Thomas to the same was, “My Lord and My God”.  The experience of disciples with the Resurrected Lord, encouraged them to move out and preach the Word of God: Believe in God.

The homily of His Excellency concluded by quoting that “Let us touch the wounds of the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ in order to heal ourselves and to be faithful.”
