His Excellency Archbishop Giambattista Diquattro, the new papal envoy for India, while addressing the faithful intellectuals gathered at Mount Kakkanad, Kerala, for the celebration of Silver-jubilee of ‘Major Archiepiscopal’ status of the Syro-Malabar Church, conveyed that the celebration is the work of Jesus Christ. His Grace Archbishop Diquattro explained the accomplishment of Lord’s love through the successful celebration of the silver-jubilee celebrations and appreciated Ernakulam-Angamaly Archdiocese for their spiritual and social awakening activities.

His Grace Archbishop Diquattro remarked that “Today, we celebrate the work of Jesus, in the last 25 years, the Major Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly. The work of the Lord is accomplished, we today remember it with gratitude.” Further, His Excellency Archbishop added, “ The vocation of the Church is to get abide by the Lord’s love, thus to breath Him and live on this oxygen, to live on this air. Thus the Major Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly- abides by the Lord’s love.”

His Excellency Louis Raphael, the Head of the Chaldean Catholic Church, inaugurated the public meeting, under the guidance of  His Grace Archbishop Giambattista Diquattro, the new papal envoy for India. His Eminence Cardinal George Alencherry, Major Archbishop of Syro-Malabar Church, His Eminence Cardinal Mar Baselios Cleemis, CBCI President and Major Archbishop of Syro-Malankara Church, His Excellency Archbishop Dr. Cyril Vasil, Secretary of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches, His Excellency Archbishop Dr. Francis Kallarackal, former Archbishop of Varapuzha, His Excellency Bishop Mar Antony Kariyil, Mr. Kurian Joseph, judge of Supreme Court of India, CMC Mother General Sr. Siby, Catholic Congress President Biju Parayamnilam, Mathruvethi Secretary Jiji Jacob, SMYM President Arun Davis, addressed the gathering.
