His Excellency Archbishop Mar George Njaralangattu of Thalasseri inaugurated Mar Sebastian Vallopilly House Building plan, which aims to build 1000 houses within 10 years. The inauguration was held under the guidance of Charalil Cherupushpa Mission League Kunnoth Forane Committee. The House Building plan was the decision of Thalasseri Arch eparchy Assembly which was held in the last month. The houses will be built under the guidance and support of the faithful in the Eparchy and other significant social service trusts.
As reported by lifedayonline.com, His Grace Mar George Njaralangattu remarked that “When we celebrate the platinum jubilee in 2028, there should be no homeless ones among us and this is the main aim of this plan. We have the responsibility to wipe out tears from the eyes of the suffering ones and this way, we should be the messengers of God’s love.”
Mar Sebastian Valloppilly was the first Bishop of the Diocese of Thalasseri, Kerala, who passed away on April 4, 2006.
