St. Thomas Church, Pulluvazhi, the parish of Bl. Rani Maria, is all ready to celebrate the post-beatification ceremony of the heroic missionary on 19th November, 2017. The relic of Bl. Rani Maria is expected to be brought to St. Thomas Church on 15th November, 2017. On 19th November, there will be a thanksgiving Mass and public meeting. After 2:30 pm, on 19th November, His Eminence Cardinal George Alencherry, Major Archbishop of Syro-Malabar Catholic Church will be the chief celebrant for the Holy Mass and His Excellency Bishop Dr. Joseph Kariyil of Kochi is expected to give the holy message for the day. St. Thomas Church would be declared as “Theerthadana Kendram”, under the presence of His Grace Bishop Dr. Chacko Thottumarickal of Indore.

On 18th November, 2017, after the Holy Mass at 5:00 pm, Bible convention would be led by Fr. Mathew Elavuthingal, director of Dyanakendram. Facilities for the pilgrims to see the house of Bl. Rani Maria nearby St. Thomas Church, are arranged for the convenience of the faithful. As reported by syromalabarchurch.in, Sr. Selmi, sister of Bl. Rani Maria remarked that “I feel blessed to have witnessed the beatification of my sister, Rani Maria.”

Blessed Rani Maria was an Indian Syro-Malabar Catholic religious professed nun from Franciscan Clarist Congregation, Diocese of Indore, who was martyred for her social and missionary works, by those who opposed her efforts. The beatification of Bl. Rani Maria was held on 4th November, 2017, in Indore.
