“Anyone who does not provide for their relatives and especially for their own household has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” (1 Timothy 5:8)

Incessant torrential rains in several parts of Kerala have taken a heavy toll on life and property, with Idukki and parts of northern Kerala and Palakkad district bearing the brunt of the flash floods. The Karunya Trust, social working wing of the Kalyan Diocese, has come with an effective initiative to help the flood victims in Kerala by collecting funds from the faithful for this noble cause.

Collected funds will be utilized for the rehabilitation works at affected areas through different diocesan social work departments in Kerala. The people may give their contributions in favor of “Karunya Trust Relief Fund.” For NEFT details, kindly write to [email protected].

The contributions are expected to reach the Karunya Trust Office on or before 28th August 2018. In this crucial situation let us remember and fulfill the word of  the Lord Almighty -“Carry each other’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2)
