In order to perform their role of leaders in a better manner, a group of Jesuit superiors from northern India were taught leadership skills, in a three-day workshop entitled “Developing Visionary Leadership: A workshop for Discernment and Apostolic planning.” Some 65 priests from 6 Jesuit provinces and regions participated in the workshop which began from July 22 till July 24, 2017, in West Bengal.

As reported by ucanindia.in, Fr. Jose Vadassery remarked that “Jesuit leadership is different from other kinds of leadership, and the uniqueness of the Society of Jesus is the concept of discernment.”

Participants travelled from the Indian states of Delhi, Punjab, West Bengal, Punjab, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar and from neighboring Nepal.
