Some unidentified miscreants vandalized the windowpane of St. Joseph Catholic Church in village Rasulpur of Ladhowal about 15kms from Ludhiana, Punjab. The Ladhowal police have registered a case under section 295,injuring or defiling place of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class and 34, acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention, of IPC sections against the unidentified accused.

As reported by ucanindia.in, Babu Karma Masih, parish priest of St. Joseph Catholic Church remarked that “I had gone to village Majitha on August 6, after locking the church and when I returned on August 8, I found the windowpane of the church broken.” The investigator officer stated that “Police have been scanning the CCTV footage installed in the area to identify the accused.”

The growing  religious conflicts in the country has become a serious threat to the national security and peace for all the faithful  and the religious leaders have already asked the government to take quick and proper actions against such vandalisms.
