Around 15 tentative sessions have been prepared by research scholars (speakers) to be presented in “EVA- Global Symposium on Life”, an eagerly-awaited project which would be covered by Kalyan Media Cell (KMC), the media wing of Kalyan Diocese. More than 200 people are expected to participate in this event, which is going to be held at Animation Renewal Centre (ARC), Panvel, Mumbai, from November 30- December 2nd, 2017.

The first session for presentation includes “Sanctity of Human Life” which will begin at 1:45 pm on the first day, Paper-1 of this session would be about “Sacredness of Life in the OT & NT” by Rev. Fr. Dr. Mathew Illathuparambil, Rector – St. Joseph’s Pontifical Seminary, Aluva. Paper-II will deal with the “Celebration of Nuptial Mystery” by Rev. Fr. Dr. Jose Koodapuzha, Professor- Good Shepherd Major Seminary, Kunnoth. The second session is about “The Joy of Bringing Forth Life”, Paper – III will say about “The Joy of large families-1” by Dr. Finto Francis, Gynecologist, and Obstetrician –Mariam Theresa Hospital, Kuzhikkattussery while Paper IV deals with “The Joy of large families-2” by Dr. Suma Sebastian, Consulting Pediatrician. The next session will be on “Celebration of Human Life in Religions”, in which Paper V will be on “Celebration of Life in Hinduism”, Dr. Lalita Namjoshi, Ex-Principal/ Asst. Director  -K.J.Somaiya Bharatiya Sanskriti  Peetham, Mumbai, and Paper VI will be on “Celebration of Life in Islam”,  presented by Maulana Zaheer Abbas Rizvi, Secretary of All India Sunni Muslim Personal Law Board, Mumbai. Paper VII deals with “Celebration of Life in Catholicism” by Fr. Dr. Francis Eluvathingal Coordinator General- Santhom Mission India, Hyderabad.

The following session will be on “Anti-Life Philosophy”, in which Paper VIII will deal with Global Anti-Life Agenda, by Dr. Brain Clowes, Director- Research and Training, Human Life International, United States. The next session will begin 1st December, which deals with “Procreative Technologies” and Paper IX is “Natural Procreative Technologies” by Dr. Kevin Quadros Gyanaechologist & Obstetrician- Holy Spirit Hospital, Mumbai. Paper X deals with Ethical issues of Assisted Reproductive Technologies, by Rev. Fr. Dr. Jacob Koipally, Vice-President- Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Pastoral Studies on Marriage and Family Studies.

The next session is “Challenges to Family Life” and Paper XI deals with “Openness of Married Couples to life” by Mrs. Anna  and Mr. Valentine Coelho, Co-Directors- Couple to Couple League, Indian Chapter, Goa while Paper XII is “Being Chaste in Family Life, by Mr. Biju Dominic, Co-Founder & CEO- Finale Mile Consulting, Mumbai. The following session will deal with “Eparchial Presentations”, in which Fr. Dr. Jose Pennaparambil, Fr. Jose Mukalel, Rev. Sr. Paulina MSMI would give presentations on  Eparchy of Thamarassery Eparchy of Changanassery, Eparchy of Kalyan respectively.

The next session will deal with “Pastoral Approach in Proclaiming and Defending Life”, in which Paper XIII is “Role of Clergy and Religious”, by Rev. Fr. Shenan Boquet, President – Human Life International, United States while Paper XIV is “Role of Laity” by Rev. Fr. Dr. Anthony Joby Moolayil, General Secretary – Synodal Commission for Family, Laity & Life and Secretary – KCBC Laity Commission. The following sessions deal with “Signs of Time”, “Indian Context”, in which Papers will deal with Indian laws, “End of Life Issues”, Activism and Advocacy.

At the end of each day of the event, cultural programmes would be presented before the gathered participants.
