His Eminence Cardinal Mar Baselios Cleemis, head of the Syro-Malankara Church and the president of the CBCI, while addressing the galaxy of intellectuals gathered for National Missionary Meet as a part of the Golden Jubilee celebration of POC, head office of KCBC, conveyed that the life of a missionary is a lesson for the future generations. The meeting was held under the guidance of KCBC President Archbishop His Excellency M. Soosapakiam, in which Honorable Kurian Joseph, judge of Supreme Court of India, offered his keynote speech.

As reported by syromalabarchurch.in, Mar Cleemis remarked that “The efforts, service and dedication of missionaries in India won’t be fruitless. These efforts will be marked as a history of truth in coming generations. Challenges should be faced and one should be able to move ahead on the path of love and truth.” Further, His Eminence Cleemis added, “Missionaries should be ready to sacrifice their lives, being a witness of Jesus Christ. God expresses his power and beauty through patience and kindness. Missionaries should always try to see the face of the Lord Almighty in others.

More than 17 missionaries were honored in the meeting. KCBC Secretary  General Archbishop Mar Mathew Moolakkattu, Rev. Dr. Varghese Vallikkattu, Fr. Paul Chunkath, Fr. Stanly Mathirippilly, were the other dignitaries who addressed the crowd.
