His Excellency Bishop Mar John Nellikunnel, the newly appointed Bishop for the Eparchy of Idukki, conveyed that he has been chosen by God for his pastoral ministry and highlighted that it is his parents’ prayers that have led him to faith and to his religious vocation. His Grace Bishop Nellikunnel expressed his gratitude towards His Excellency Mar Anikuzhikkattil for entrusting him with various Diocesan activities and thanked Mar Punnakkottil for welcoming him to the seminary for the first time.
As reported by syromalabarchurch.in, His Grace Mar Nellikkunnel emphasized that “The Diocese of Idukki had been under the guidance of Mar Anikuzhikkattil, I am much younger than him in experiences as well and thus asking everyone to please pray for me.”
