the wooden rosary on the open Bible

The Archdiocese of Changanassery has decided to observe this Friday, 16th March, 2018 as the day of prayer and fasting, for the peace of the Church. Amid the increasing storm of tensions and misunderstandings in the Church, it becomes very significant to keep the faithful in unity and compassion and the role of the Church in bringing the faithful together for her spiritual ministry is considered as an important part. The main prayer intention behind this observance is to pray for all the persecuted Christians all over the world and for the Church.

As reported by lifedayonline.com, His Excellency Archbishop Mar Joseph Perumthottam of Changanassery Archdiocese remarked that “The recent incidents that are troubling the diocese and the Church has got a bad impact on every Christian faithful. Love and Unity are the powers of the Church and so we should not allow these powers to be affected in any way. We are observing this Friday as the day of fasting and prayer in order to pray for the Church, nation and to keep up love and peace all over the world. We should specially remember our Syro-Malabar Church in prayers since the Church is undergoing many struggles nowadays.”

Mar Joseph Perumthottam asked the faithful to at least find an hour time from 12 pm to 3 pm on 16th March to pray for the Church.
