The Archdiocese of Los Angeles hosted the third annual City of Saints Conference, at the campus of the University of California in which more than 1600 young faithful were gathered and participated in workshops, the sacraments and fellowship. The City of Saints is considered as a festival of hope in the country among the teenagers. The youth were encouraged to engage in the Liturgy of the Hours, Eucharistic procession, and facilitated group time.

As reported by Catholic News Agency, His Excellency Archbishop Jose H.Gomez of Los Angeles, remarked that “The faith of these young people-their love for Jesus, their desire to live their faith and share their faith- is a beautiful witness and it is contagious.” Further, His Grace added, “The purpose of our lives is to be transformed and transfigured to become more like Jesus everyday of our lives.”

Teenagers from 80 different parishes throughout Los Angeles archdiocese participated in the City of Saints.
