The  Congregation  of  Divine  Worship  and  the  Discipline  of  the  Sacraments,  admonished  the  Bishops  to  prevent  abuses  against  the  Holy  Eucharist,  in  their  new  letter.  The  letter  conveyed  to  preclude  the  uses  and  introduction  of  any  other  substances  in  the  manufacture  of  bread  for  the  Eucharist.  The  letter  also  stressed  to  use  natural  vine  without  corrupting  it  with  foreign  substances .

As  reported  by  the  Catholic  News  Agency,  the  new  letter  emphasized  that  “The  bread  used  in  the  Holy  Eucharist  must  be  unleavened,  of  only  wheat  and  made  recently  ,  so  that  there  is  no  danger  of  it  being  corrupted. ” It  also  added  that  “Eucharist  matter  made  with  genetically  modified  organisms  can  be  considered  valid  matter.”

The  letter  mainly  focused  and  asked  the  Bishops  to  ensure  their  responsibilities  to  fulfill  these  norms  and  abuse  is  not  occurring  in  their  churches.
