Thiruvananthapuram: The Archdiocese of Thiruvananthapuram has urges for special prayers for the speedy recovery of Kerala Catholic Bishops Conference President and Kerala Latin Archdiocese’s Archbishop M. Soosa Pakiam. He was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of Jubilee Hospital straight from his way back from Rome, where he was attending the Ad Limina Meet of the Latin Bishops with the Pope. As per sources, the Archbishop had fever and gradually developed symptoms of infection, which elevated over time. Until this evening, his state of health remains stagnant.

Yesterday, Cardinal Cleemis Baselios and auxiliary Bishop of the Latin Archdiocese, bishop Christudas paid a visit to Pakiam and spoke with the doctors. 

The media commission if the archdiocese of Trivandrum has released a statement that exclaims that the functioning of his body organs will take time to return to its efficient stage. Hence, the commission has issued a release urging the faithful to pray for the wellbeing of His Excellency. Following medical advice, Archbishop Pakiam was shifted from Jubilee Hospital to Kings Hospital on account of better facilities on 2nd October. However, his condition hasn’t improved.
