Vatican City: Pope Francis’ May is dedicated to ‘Prayer for the Deacons of the Global Catholic Church’. In a video message prepared by the Pope’s World Wide Prairie Network Group, released a video featuring the Pope’s Prayer Mission which was released this past Tuesday.
Deacons should not be viewed as second-class members of the clergy. They are part of the clergy, but their call to God is only to be performed in the family. Deacons care for the poor and give them the face of Christ. Deacons are the guardians of church services. May they pray for their faithfulness in the ministry of the Word and the Poor, and for the Church as a whole to live in a symbol of vigor, Pope said in the message.
