The Indian community responds strongly to the Center’s efforts to expose the gases of abortion. As the cabinet approved a bill to amend the half-century-old Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971, there has been a strong public outcry. Abortion is currently only approved for up to 20 weeks. However, the new amendment proposes brutal manslaughter for up to 24 weeks.
More than 6,000 people have already signed up for an online petition prepared by the Prophet Voice portal ‘Change.org’, demanding action against it. It is interesting to note that the signatures took just 48 hours to prove that there is a large community that respects the glory of life. Several respondents noted in the response section below the petition that every life is precious and that the life of the mother is the same as the life of the unborn child. There are also many who argue that those who crave to approve the law would have seen this land if they had been victims of abortion.
International Pro-life Organization, Human Life International, has found that in India alone, 1.56 billion babies are aborted annually. Since the law permitting the tearing of the baby to be in force for a few days after its full growth is far from obligatory, we would like to request that the petition seeking immediate action be signed by the conscientious objector.
