Kanjirappally: Mar Jose Pulikal has been appointed the fourth bishop of the diocese of Kanjirappally. The Mass was attended by Bishops, Saints, and Representatives. Archbishop of Changanacherry, Mar Joseph Perunthottam, and Mar Mathew Arakkal collaborated on the major acts of Cardinal Mar George Alencherry.
After the welcome speech of Mar Mathew Arakkal, the order appointing Mar Jose Pulikal as the Archbishop of Kanjirappally was issued by the Chancellor Rev. Dr. Kurien read Thamarassery. Archbishop Mar Joseph Pavathil delivered the Ecclesiastical Address. Afterward, Cardinal Mar Alancheri Mar Jose Pulikal was placed in his seat in the chapel, wearing a hat and girdle.
