Andre Armand Vingt-Trois, a French Cardinal of the Catholic Church in his interview after several months of medical leave, conveyed  to Agence France Press about the helpless stage of being sick but also highlighted his illness as a lesson in his life.

His Lordship Andre Vingt-Trois was hospitalized for the treatment of Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a neurological illness caused by the immune system damaging the peripheral nervous system. As reported by the croix.com, His Eminence Cardinal Andre Vingt-Trois observed that, “My illness is a lesson in life that enabled me to modestly share the experience of the sick and to experience dependency.”

Cardinal Vingt-Trois was hospitalized in February, 2017 with a viral infection which later revealed the presence of Guillain-Barre Syndrome. His Lordship currently serves as the Archbishop of Paris.
