The feast of St. Thomas, the patron saint of the Kalyan Diocese and its bishop, was celebrated on 2 July. The event was held at the Animation and Renewal Center (ARC) at Panvel. The Kalyan unit of Catholic Religious of India participated in the event. H. E. Mar Thomas Elavanal, the Bishop of Kalyan Eparchy was the chief guest at the celebrations.
The event was conducted in accordance with the 1950th year of the Martyrdom of St. Thomas. Rev. Fathers and Rev. Sisters celebrating the Silver/ Golden Jubilee of their religious commitment were felicitated at the event. Newcomers to the ministry of Kalyan Eparchy were also welcomed. The newly renovated chapel at ARC was also blessed along with the celebrations.
The Annual General Body Meeting of the Kalyan Unit CRI was also conducted on the same day.
