Tura (Meghalaya): A Malayalee Bishop, Dr. Jose Chirakkal Anirukkara was anointed as the bishop of Tura diocese of Meghalaya. The ceremony was held at the Sacred Heart Church in Tura. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Agatha K. Sangma MPs, MLAs, political, bureaucratic, and social figures were present. Catholic Sangam Chief Minister Sangma, who is also a devout Catholic, has posted on Facebook to congratulate the new bishop on his greetings and prayers.
