Bishops in Korea encouraged the citizens to pray for peace, as the tensions are mounting over the missiles and nuclear programs of North Korea. The bishops conveyed this message to the faithful during the celebration of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. They also urged the faithful to pray the rosary in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Marian apparition in Fatima.

As reported by ucanews.com, His Lordship Cardinal Andrew Yeom Soo-jung of Seoul remarked that “The Virgin Mary urged us to pray the rosary for the conversion of sinners and for peace in the world.” Further His Grace added, “The rosary is our spiritual  weapon to defeat evil effectively and will help us overcome challenges in our faith and transfigure us to become workers for world peace.”

North Korea has warned US that it is carefully examining plans for a missile attack on US territory of Guam, just hours after US President Donald Trump warned Pyongyang that any threat to America would be met with fire and fury.
