An International Summit on Sport is scheduled to take place on 29 and 30 September in the Vatican. The summit is organized by the Vatican Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life in collaboration with the Diastery for Culture and Education. The Pope John Paul II Foundation for Sport is also a part of the organising bodies.
The theme for the Summit is ‘Sport for All: Cohesive, Accessible and Tailored to each person.’ The Summit aims to invite the world of sport to embrace the three fundamental characteristics. The characteristics highlight the need to make sports more open and accessible to people with any physical disabilities or disapproving social conditions.
The Summit is organized as a part of the International Meeting held in 2016 and the Holy See’s first integral document on sport published in 2018.
