Today is the beginning of the twenty-five-day abstinence, to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Savior of the world, to redeem mankind. Special prayers will be held in the churches and at home in preparation for Christmas. Like it was in Bethlehem, the mangers will be erected in churches and homes to commemorate Jesus’ birth.

Star lanterns hang in remembrance of the star that guided the kings of the East. Carols throughout the country are preparing to evoke the message of peace and love. Meetings and gatherings will be held in the coming days to share the joy of Christmas.
