BENGALURU: Seven innocent Christians have been granted bail by the Supreme Court after being accused of killing Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati at Kandhamal in Odisha. Bhaskar Sunamaji, Bijayakumar Sanseth, Durjo S. Tsunamaji, Munda Badamaji, Gornath Chalanseth Sanatana Badamaji, who was jailed for nearly a decade after being denied justice, were presented to them by the Malayalee journalist Anton Akkara.

He appealed to the members of the bishops’ committee to raise their voices for these innocent victims of a political conspiracy. No matter the bail, the innocent should be acquitted. Speak for them who are unable to raise their voice. Anto said that they were guilty of putting the blame of the Swami on the shoulders of the Christians. The Odisha High Court is unnecessarily extending its appeal. He demanded compensation and compensation.
