Kochi: The office of Metropolitan Vicar Mar Antony Kariyil has said that the government has sanctioned the opening of the churches and the consecration of the Holy Eucharist however, the diocese will still undergo the restrictions. The decision has been made in light of discussions held with the council members of the Archdiocese.
Churches can be opened for personal prayer. A maximum of 50 people can attend the wedding, and a maximum of 20 people can participate in rituals such as confession, baptism, and posthumous ceremonies. However, the diocese said in its statement that the government should strictly adhere to these regulations.
