Abducted seminary students released from Katoina state. The Good Shepherd Seminary has announced the release of three seminary students who were detained. One of the kidnapped seminarians was released from serious injuries on the 18th. Seminary registrar Joel Usman said the clergy students were released yesterday. All four of the abducted were first-year philosophy students.

Shortly after ten o’clock on the night of January 8, armed men attacked the Good Shepherd Major Seminary and shot and killed the students. Good Shepherd Seminary currently has 270 students. However, it is not yet clear who was behind the abduction. According to a recent report by the Christian charity Open Doors, Nigeria ranks 12th on the list of countries with the highest number of Christian persecution cases.
