Vatican City: Pope Francis prays to St. Peter’s Basilica in the empty Vatican St. During the mourning yesterday, the pope prayed silently in front of the cross, which was placed on the altar. The Crucifix, which was brought from the San Marcello Al Corso shrine, is described as a miraculous crucifixion that saved Rome from the 16th-century pestilence. After the Tribulation Memorial and the Worship of the Cross, the service of the Cross was held at 9.30 pm (Vatican Time).

Contrary to tradition, the Cross of the Redemption of the Cross, held in the Colosseum in Rome, was held in St. Peter’s Square this year. Two doctors serving the coroner’s patients, a prison chaplain at Padua, a penitentiary police officer, and a nurse participated in the Vatican Health Service. During the night’s pilgrimage to the St. Peter’s Basilica with burning candles, Pope Francis led the procession outside the Basilica.

During the mock trial, special readings were read aloud by prison inmates, including patience. At the end of the 90-minute solo rally, Pope Francis silently prayed for a few minutes in front of the crucifixion, instead of the usual speech.

Earlier, Pope had talked about COVID-19 on Italian state TV’s talk show. The papal commemorates the doctors and nurses who fought the epidemic by meditating on the crucified Christ. The pope said that they are fighting like the soldiers and giving their love to us.
