Pope Francis is set to visit Canada from 24- 30 July.  He will arrive in Edmonton on 24 July, head to Quebec and later return to Rome on 30 July.  The Pontiff’ s visit is focussed on Indigenious healing and reconciliation. 

The papal visit is themed as “Walking Together”, where the Pope will hold various encounters with indigenous people.  He is also set to celebrate mass in Edmonton on the feast of St. Anne on 26 July.  Along with that, he will be celebrating mass at Sainte  Anne-  de- Beaupre, one of the oldest and most popular pilgrimage sites in North America. 

This visit to Canada will be the fourth papal visit to Canada and the first since Pope John Paul II’s visit in 2002.
