Regensburg: Bishop Rudolf Woderholzer writes a heartfelt letter to clergy from India serving under the Regensburg diocese of Germany. Located in Bavaria, the diocese serves more than 100 Indian clergymen. It is against this backdrop that the Bishop wrote the letter. The letter begins with the introduction that the media has learned that the spread of coronavirus is causing serious problems in your home country of India.

I can understand how worried you are about your favorite country, your parents, your siblings, your family, your friends, your hometown clergy.

In these times of stress and insecurity, I realize that it is imperative that you take care and intimacy with yourself as the Bishop of the diocese, where you serve as a precious caregiver. I pray for you and your families these days. I commemorate you all in the Holy Mass. In the Regensburg diocese, we thank you for your faithful service. The letter concludes by stating that we are praying for divine intervention and remembering one another in prayer.
