Idukki: The funeral services of Mar Mathew Aanikuzhikkadil, the first shepherd of the diocese of Idukki, will be held at St. George’s Cathedral, Vazhathoppu today at 2.30 pm. Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, Cardinal Mar George Alencherry will officiate the funeral service. Mar George Mattikandam, Mar Joseph Kallarangat, Mar Mathew Arakkal, and Mar John Nellikunnel will be co-celebrants. Mar Mathew Arakkal will offer condolences. The funeral services will be held in three stages. The broadcast of the funeral service will be streaming live on the Shekinah Channel.
