Rome: Italy’s leading journalist and former director of La La Vita Catholic Week Vicenzo Reini died of Covid infection. Local media reports that he was the first physician to die of coronary artery disease. He was admitted to the hospital a few days ago due to the Covid plague. The 75-year-old died yesterday following a seizure.

From 1999-2005, he served as national president of the Italian Catholic Weekly Federation and president of the Religious Information Service. Bishop Antonio Napolini expressed sorrow over the death of the clergy. The bishop is still in the hospital following coronary symptoms. In Italy, however, the death toll from Covid infection rose to 1452. The news that 250 people were killed in one day only adds to the seriousness of the matter. Italy is the worst affected country after China.
