His Eminence Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle will lead the “Walk for Life” march and celebrate Holy Mass at the Quirino Grandstand, Manila, on Feb 24, to protest the continued killings in the country. The Council of the Laity in the Philippines is organizing its annual “Walk for Life” on Feb 24 to pray for the conversion of those behind this continued killings in the country.

As reported by Vatican Radio, His Excellency Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo of Manila remarked that “Organized by the Council of the Laity in the Philippines, the walk is not only to condemn the wrong that is being done but also to pray for the conversion of those behind it.” Further, His Grace added, “The Church will not be silenced until all unexplained killings of drug suspects stop completely and perpetrators are brought to justice.”

The Walk for life initiative is an annual event led by the CBCP an expression of support for the sanctity and preservation of life.  An unexpected crowd of more than 20,000 people joined the Walk for Life rally in 2017.
