The 17 Lok Sabha election 2019 was held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 21019. As an occasion of an emphatic election victory of the Bharatiya Janata party that follows with a clear mandate of a stable government given by the people of India. The president of CBCI ( Catholic Bishop Conference of India) His Eminence cardinal Oswald Gracias on behalf of the Catholic Church of India congratulates Shri Narendra Modi, honourable prime minister of India.
At a public gathering His Eminence Cardinal Oswald Gracias assured his prayers and best wishes for Shri Narendra Modi quoting “for you and your team as you lead our country in building a strong and inclusive India.” He further prayed that God may give Shri Narendra Modi health, wisdom and strength to carry out the great responsibilities entrusted upon him.
His Eminence also expressed encouragement ‘on the vision of a New India’ which honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken about – ‘a New India which gives hope and energy to our youth, empower our women especially in rural areas, open new and sustainable opportunities for our farmers and strengthen our economy while leaving no one behind. A New India which enjoys peace and prosperity and continue to make progress.’
