This is a time when the world is going through great fear and anxiety. The Christian publication, Satya Deepam, has come up with an article that misleads Christians when the world of COVID 19 is raging. The fact that the author of this article is a Christian priest adds to the seriousness of this fall.

He argues that a mantra-like Om is sung with the Ishwar name and is effective against the coronavirus. But if he does not know the Bible’s Word that no other name, except Jesus’ name, has been given under heaven for the salvation of man, then the church leadership must take strong action against such clergy who mislead believers with such false teachings.

The resurrection of Jesus glorifies the name of God the Savior; Because from then on, the supreme power of ‘the name above all the names’ is expressed in its fullness. In the name of Jesus, His disciples work miracles. For the Father gives them whatever they ask in His name.

It is because of this truth that Jesus’ disciples, after the resurrection, went out into the world and proclaimed, ‘Only through Jesus can you be saved.’ Many of his disciples were brutally murdered for proclaiming this. But even when brutally persecuted, even in the face of death, they cried: “Jesus is the Savior.”

The name Jesus stands at the heart of Christian prayer. All liturgical prayers end with the words, “Through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The Blessed Virgin Mary is at its peak when she says, “Blessed is the fruit of your womb.” Like V. Joan of Arc, many Christians around the world breathed their last by pronouncing the name ‘Jesus’.

So we can call on Jesus’ name to save the world from coronavirus. Because the power of the Name of Jesus is infinite. He says “… whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you” (Jn 15:16)
