Vatican City: Dr. Fabio Gasparini, has been appointed as the Executive Secretary of the Central Bank, which manages the financial transactions of the Holy See. Pope Francis appointed Fabio Gasparini. It is the first time in history that a Laity has attained this status. The Pope issued an official order on Monday. He is a PhD student with university degrees in economics and commerce. Gasparini is an Auditor and Charters Accountant. He has over 25 years of experience in auditing and consulting for large corporations. He has also served on the board of the Ivy Advisor Spa Board of Directors, the AMEI Executive Advisory Services Committee, and the Italian Advisory Service on the European Head Capital Market. He is expected to serve a tenure of five years.
