Kalpetta: The Woman’s Commission rejected the complaints lodged by Franciscan Clarify Congregation Member Sr. Lucy Kallapurackal after she neglected the summons to attend the hearing for the fourth time consecutively. Presently, Sr. Lucy is facing disciplinary actions from the Franciscan Clarify Congregation officials for a luxurious lifestyle. The commission had produced four summons to St. Lucy pleasing her presence for the case hearing. “However, the nun did not contact the commission or produce an explanation of her absence”, said the head of the commission, M C Josephine.
Usually, the commission sends a notice to the complainant only twice. But Sr. Lucy was given for chances to present herself and decoding her side of the story. Even after the consideration, she chose to prevent herself from the commission’s hearing procedures. M C Josephine said that her behavior with respect to the case and it’s hearing is irresponsible.
