Rome: Moderator of the International Catholic Charismatic Movement, Shaun Luke Moyens, says the virus will not deter us from praying. In his annual message to the International Catholic Charismatic Movement Caris, he said: He wrote that the virus does not hinder prayer, but rather that the Pope is giving the world a more united experience in prayer through alternative means.

Pentecost is celebrating the first anniversary of the Catholic Charismatic Movement in the face of a crisis the world has never seen before. This is a situation that has forced most of the world’s people to shut their homes, create economic hardships, shut down churches, make the poor more miserable, and create more orphans.

Prayer can be united with God anywhere, even within closed doors, even if it is not possible to gather at the national or diocese level. In his message, he said that the charismatic movement of the Church can unite in the spirit of Pantecost on the first anniversary and pray together for the peace of the world, for the pestilence and for the church in the midst of this global crisis.

In 2018, Pope Francis founded the Caris’ Reformation Movement of the Global Catholic Church. This was part of the ecclesiastical reform plan being implemented by the Pope. The organization consists of international moderator and 18 globally elected members. Cyril John, a representative from Asia, hails from Kuruvillangad.
