“This is a colorful world. Help others find this world as well.”

In order to make others’ lives a bit more colorful, the youth of Powai Forane set out on a journey to Badlapur, on 5th November, 2017.The mission was simple, to paint the houses which the Karunya Trust had built for the underprivileged tribals.

The mission started with the Holy Mass at Christ the King Church, Bhandup. Close to 40 youths from all the churches in Powai Forane headed for Badlapur post the Mass. The local villagers along with the Missionary Sisters had prepared breakfast for the team following which the team was briefed about their tasks for the day. The target was to paint 3 houses by lunchtime. However, the zealous lot of Powai Forane successfully painted close to 5 houses.

Post lunch, and after the final finishing touches on the paintwork, the youth gathered the children of the village together for some fun and games. Various games were played and both the children and the youth had a fun time. Few church members had donated books and food packets which were distributed among the children. Many youths from the Forane came forward with contributions and donated generously for the Mission.

The day ended on a very joyous and colorful note – for the youth as well as for all those lives that they touched. This was thus yet another wonderful endeavor the Powai Forane Youth Committee to bring together all the youth to spend a day in service for the society.
