Vatican City: US Vice President Mike Pence meets Pope Francis The Vice President arrived at the Apostolic Palace accompanied by his wife, Karen Pence, daughter-in-law Sarah and the US Ambassador to the Vatican. In an hour-long conversation, the March for Life rally in the US and the threat of war in the world were discussed. It is interesting to note that the Vice President also visited the Pope in the same room that President Donald Trump held in 2017.

After the conversation, the two exchanged gifts. He presented the pope with a wooden crucifix, which is located near the home of Washington, the birthplace of Pence. The Apostolic Articles and the Papal Medal, such as Loudatha C and the Pleasure of the Gospel, were handed over to the Pope. He also conveyed Donald Trump’s greetings to the pope. Following his meeting with the Pope, Pence also held talks with Vatican representatives. Pence arrived in the Vatican shortly after attending the 5th World Holocaust Forum in Jerusalem.
