Rome: The Vatican has opened the archives of Pius XII of the Holy Throne, which gives researchers the opportunity to shed light on the dark ages in world history. On Monday, March 2, the Vatican opened its archives and archival documents relating to the Vatican for more than fourteen years. The collection, which contains elements of over 20,000 historical documents, contains over 200 chapters and historical documents from the Vatican Secretariat, the Vatican’s various corporations and courier offices.

It is also noteworthy that a large part of this was made available digitally. The records display center can only be accessed by reservation. Reservations, which started last October, have been completed for May-June. During 1939-1958, Pius XIII led the Papal Council. It was during this period that the Second World War broke out.
