KOCHI: After two long years of prayer, sacrifice, study and waiting, two deacons finally accepted the lockdown. Deacon Varghese Roshan and Deacon Ravi Kumar, members of the Non-Profit Missionaries (PMI), overseen by the Diocese of Cochin, received the Tirupattam last day. Bishop Joseph Kariyil of the Diocese of Cochin was instrumental in the Tirupatta services being held at the Bishops’ House.

Deacon Varghese Roshan is the son of Marshall and Gracie in St. George Parish, South Chellanam. Deacon Ravi Kumar is the son of Jesubabu and Shantakumari in the parish of Denduluru Purification Martha in the diocese of Elur. Only parents and siblings of both parties attended the ceremony in accordance with government norms. Though the ceremony was held in the presence of loved ones, the two shared the dream of living a dream come true on lockdown.
