Paris: The French State Council has asked the government to remove the ban on religious groups, including the Sacred Consecration in France. The order, which was issued on Monday, said the bans should be removed within eight days. Temples in France have been closed for the past two months as part of a ‘shelter-in-place’ restriction imposed to curb the spread of corona. The concessions granted on May 11 allowed for a small number of public groups, but the ban on religious groups other than the funeral continues.

The council’s order states that the ban on religious fellowship is not right and is a serious violation of the right to worship, given that only fewer than ten people are allowed. Although it is not yet clear how many people are allowed in the Holy Eucharist, it is believed that believers can join in the area of the shrine eight days later. In addition to France, Italy and some other US states have already given permission for the liturgy to be attended by a limited number of people.
