The Bishops of the Latin Diocese in Kerala attended the Ad Limina Meet in the Vatican. The meet happens once every five years. The meet was lead by Archbishop Dr. Soosa Pakhyam and Archbishop Dr. Joseph Kallathiparambil. All the bishops belonging to the 12 Latin dioceses in Kerala attended the meet. The meet was held from September 11th to 18th, 2019. The Pontiff inquired very specially about the floods that caused devastation in the state of Kerala. Assuring his prayers, the Pope wished blessings for all Keralites. 

The Holy Father urged the Bishops to inculcate the virtue of peace and love among their respective Church members by keeping away diversity and inequality that disrupts peace. In the meet, he also requested the church heads to act responsibly in case of situations that would worsen the peaceful environment.

James Raphael Anaparambil.
