Kochi: Madhya Pradesh Commission chairman Bishop Mar Joseph Pamplani said that the latest developments are arousing suspicions that some extremist groups are working against the Syro-Malabar Church. Mar Pamplini’s explanation was in the context of misrepresentation of the Church’s involvement in the Citizenship Amendment Bill and Love Jihad. He said that the organized forces were deliberately working against the Syro-Malabar Church and that whatever issues were raised within the church, militant groups would be behind it.

The House has strongly opposed the Citizenship Amendment Bill, both in the Synod and outside. The Church’s position is against the amendment of citizenship law. The Church will always oppose the segregation of citizens of this country on religious grounds. Muslim Brothers have never been blamed for the subject of Love Jihad. The youth in the terrorist group is behind this. These figures were based on studies of bishops.

We firmly believe that persecution is taking place in this land. But we are not saying that it is the brothers of the Muslim community. ISIS sympathizers are targeting Christian girls in love jihad, with vested interests being the driving force behind the terrorist activities in the country. Thousands of Christian girls have been misled. “It is based on accurate estimates,” Mar Pamplani said.
