Kudamalur (Kottayam): Kudamalur St. Mary’s Forane Church has been elevated as a Major Archbishop’s Episcopal Pilgrimage Center in the Archdiocese of Changanacherry. Major Archbishop Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, declared the church a Major Archbishop’s Episcopal Pilgrimage Center at 11 am yesterday. The order was handed over by the Cardinal to Archbishop Mar Joseph Perunthottam of Changanacherry.
Major Archbishop Episcopal Chancellor Rev.Dr. Vincent Cheruvathur read out the order and the Malayalam translation was read by the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Changanacherry, Fr. Thomas Padiyath.
