The Southern Railway has announced a special train from Thiruvananthapuram to Velankanni, to clear the extra rush of passengers during the holiday season. The special train named ‘Karaikal express’ will be arranged for the passengers from April 4, 2018, till June 27, 2018.
The train will travel to Nagore from Thiruvananthapuram and the passengers to Velankanni will have to depart at Nagapattinam, which is just 10 kilometers away from Velankanni. The time scheduled for this special train is at 3:20 pm on all Wednesdays and will arrive at Nagapattinam on Thursday early morning 3 am.
