Based on the divine life of Bl. Rani Maria, an Indian Syro-Malabar professed religious nun in the Franciscan Clarist Congregation in the Diocese of Indore, who was martyred by those who opposed her efforts in aiding the poor and the downtrodden, Ernakulum- Ankamaly Archdiocese had organized a skit named as “Sr. Rani Maria Vimochanathinte Vishudha Nakshtram”. This act on the life of the heroic missionary took place on 13th November, 2017, in order to make the people understand the blessed life of this missionary, who taught the love of Jesus Christ through her words and deeds.

Vinod Kumar is the director and the scriptwriter of the play which has a duration of 1 and a half hour. The act was organized by the media department of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Ankamaly, Pilgrims communication. Fr. Thomas Nangelimalil. Former director of Pilgrims communication and the vicar of Kandanadu Unnimisiha (Infant Jesus Church), is the assistant director of the play. Alice Mathew, a popular artist plays the role of Bl. Rani Maria in the skit. Other artists include Anugraha Paul, Arun Pavunp, C.V. Dinesh, A.H.Shanavas, Rajeesh Puttad, Ratheesh Gramshi, Fr. Jacob Koroth, director of Pilgrims Communications.

The play is organized with the main intention to give the best possible understanding of the life of Bl. Rani Maria and it is expected to cover all the significant phases of this missionary beginning from her childhood. The beatification of Bl. Rani Maria took place in Indore on 4th November, 2017.
