SIGNIS Western Region, an international body recognized by the Catholic Church, held a meeting at St. Paul’s Provincial House, Bandra West, on 29th October, 2017, in which new Executive members were elected, in the presence of SIGNIS national President Mr. Sunil Lucas and Fr. Vijay Lobo National Secretary. Fr. Gilbert SSP is elected as the President of SIGNIS Western Region, Fr. Olava from the Archdiocese of Goa is elected as the Vice President while Sr. Joeyanna D’souza FSP as the Secretary.

The meeting mainly focused on explaining responsibilities and activities which has to be carried out by the new office bearers respectively. It also discussed on how to rejuvenate the regional activities more effectively with the new team and explained the project writing to the team in more detail.

SIGNIS is a Roman Catholic lay ecclesial movement for professionals in the communication media, including the press, radio, television, cinema, video, media, education, internet and new technology and is a non-profit organization with representation from over 100 countries.
