His Eminence Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, Major Archbishop of Syro-Malabar Church, while addressing the gathering at YMCA Camp centre during the inauguration of ‘ India YMCA  year of Mercy’ conveyed that sharing our important belongings with others is the real act of mercy and kindness. The event was held at Aluva Thottumikham YMCA Camp Centre, marking the beginning of the year of Mercy for YMCA of India.

As reported by deepika.com, Mar George Alencherry remarked that “Sharing something that is not important or giving others the rest of what we have already used is not an act of mercy, instead it is like throwing away those belongings.” Mar Alencherry expressed his happiness over the activities of YMCA and encouraged YMCA year of Mercy with his wishes and prayers.

YMCA Ernakulam Sub-Regional Chairman  N.T.Jacob, Kerala Regional Chairman Prof.  Joy C George, Varghese George Pallikara, K P John, addressed the gathering.
